Helen G. Barove, 93, of Vero Beach, FL died Sunday, January 4, 2009 at The Place in Vero Beach.
Mrs. Barove was born October 6, 1915 in Staten Island, NY and moved to Vero Beach in 1972 from Miami, FL.
Prior to retirement she had worked as a clerk typist at Governors Island in New York before moving to Miami to work for the US Coast Guard where she retired at the age of 55. She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach and the Vero Beach Senior Center.
She is survived by a son Stan Barove of Vero Beach and Cape Cod, MA; a sister Pauline Okraszewski of Staten Island; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents William and Adele Galonski, a sister Jane Delconzo, and brothers Walter, Frank and John Galonski.
Services: A Mass will be celebrated 10 AM, Monday, January 5, 2009 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA/Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
