Helen Veronica Smith , 85, of Barefoot Bay, FL passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2011, at William Childs Hospice House.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY and was a resident of Barefoot Bay for 25 years coming from Baldwin, Long Island, New York.
Helen worked as a clerk for the New York Times. She belonged to the St. Lukes Catholic Church in Micco and was a member of the Irish American Club, St. Lukes Guild, 9 Hole Golf League and the Hibernians Club.
Survivors include her husband Thomas Smith of Barefoot Bay, FL, daughter Kathleen Baron of Perry Hall, MD, sister Dolores Shea of Barefoot Bay, FL five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her sister Jean Greives and brother John Gallagher.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 2, 2011 at Seawinds Funeral Home in Sebastian.
Funeral Mass is on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 10am at St. Lukes Catholic Church in Micco.
Burial will be at Palm Beach National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL.
