Helge M. Sand's Obituary
Helge M. Sand, 84 of Barefoot Bay, FL died Sunday, march 15, 2009 at his resident.
He was born September 24, 1924 in Sweden and was a resident of Barefoot Bay for 25 years, coming from Washingtonville, NY.
Mr. Sand was a retired truck driver from Patrick Air Force Base and a honorary member of the Monell Engine Company, lifetime member of VFW Post 8691.
He served in the US Army during WWII.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Katherine Sand of Barefoot Bay; sons Erik Sand of Winter Park, FL, Mark Sand of Monroe, NC; sisters Elizabeth Panetta of Santa Fe, Mo, Inez Classen of Saint Charles, MO, Nancy Nucifora of Chester, NY; 6 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Health first, 1900 Dairy Rd, Melbourne, FL 32904.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, March 23, 2009 at Seawinds Funeral home chapel in Sebastian, FL.
