Henry Pickrodt, 83 of Micco, FL passed away Friday, December 11, 2009 at Sebastian River Medical Center in Sebastian, FL.
He was born September 12, 1926 in Glendale, NY and was a resident of Micco for 9 years, coming from Fuquay-Varina, NC.
Mr. Pickrodt was a steamfitter and foreman of plumbing and heating at Macys, NY for 20 years and was a member of the Steamfitters Union Local #638 in Long Island, NY. He served in the US Navy during WWII in Okinawa and Pacific Theaters.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Carolyn Pickrodt of Micco, FL; two sons Gary Pickrodt of Fuquay-Varina, NC, William Pickrodt of Freeport, NY, daughter Lori Olsewski of Selden, NY; two sisters Brenda LiSanti of Hudson, FL, Norma Sattia of New Port Rirchey, FL and ten grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Arno Pickrodt and sister Viola Schnider.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at Seawinds Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Rev. Ron Thomas officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the Sebastian River Area Honor Guard.
