Obituary

Henry Alfred Sage, 94, of Vero Beach passed away at his residence on Sunday, July 15, 2012. Mr. Sage was born April 14, 1918 in Rochester, New York and was a resident of Vero Beach since his retirement in 1979. Mr. Sage served in the United States Navy during World War II. After the war, he earned his bachelor's degree and worked as an electrical and refrigeration engineer. He earned a masters degree in industrial arts at the University of Buffalo and taught for 14 years at the Board of Cooperative Education School in Fairport, NY. At age 73, he acted as the contractor of his new home in Vero Beach where the local newspaper highlighted this accomplishment. Light on his feet, Henry loved to dance and for many years could be found dancing on Friday nights at the Vero Beach Polish American Club.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Sage of Rochester, New York, two daughters, Andrea Smith Kessler of Scottsdale, Arizona and Diana Ziemniak of Erie, Pennsylvania, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL. at the convenience of the family.
