Herbert Brown, 96, of Vero Beach, FL died Sunday, April 18, 2010 at the Indian River Estates Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Mr. Brown was born January 11, 1914 in St. Louis, MO and moved to Melbourne, FL in 1990 from Boca Raton where he had been a lifelong resident before moving to Vero Beach in 2005.
He owned Browns Bar Restaurant in Boca Raton and was a veteran of WWII serving as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Mr. Brown was a avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife Jacquelyn Brown of Vero Beach, son Buddy Dawson of Vero Beach, daughter Frances Rose Marshall of Florence, AL, four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, nieces Joyce Taylor of Westminster, CA and Gloria Keats of Deerfield, IL, three grandnieces, and three grandnephews.
He was predeceased by his brother George Brown.
Services: The family will receive friends 2:30 - 4:30 PM, Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home. Mr. Brown will be transferred to the Elkins Funeral Home in Florence for final services and interment in Florence City Cemetery in Florence.
