Ida A. Lord's Obituary
Ida A. Lord, 96, of Vero Beach, FL died Thursday, July 9, 2009 at the Green Gables Assisted Living Facility in Vero Beach.
Mrs. Lord was born January 10, 1913 in Pittsburgh, PA and moved to Vero Beach 31 years ago from Parma Heights, OH.
She graduated from Grove City High School in 1931 and Childrens Hospital in Pittsburgh as a registered nurse with further training in anesthesia at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh. Mrs. Lord worked as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for 35 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Vero Beach and was an active in the churchs Womens Sewing Guild for many years.
Survivors include her daughter Carol Smoyer of Vero Beach and brother Verner Nystrom of The Woodlands, TX.
She is predeceased by her husband John Henry Lord.
Services: A memorial service will be held in August at the First Presbyterian Church in Vero Beach.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 3960.
