Obituary: IDA PIPER
Ida MeMee Piper, 103, died April 19, 2011, at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
She was born in Orwigsburg, PA, and lived in Vero Beach for 22 years, coming from Reading, PA.
She was a member of the Reading Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years.
Survivors include daughter, Susan P. Bertolette, wife of Randall Bertolette, M.D., of Vero Beach; granddaughter, Melissa P. Stevens and great-grandson, Cooper R. Stevens, both of North Richland Hills, TX; three nephews; and four nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Piper; sisters Eleanor Beaumont and Irma Dengler; and brother Walter Greenawalt.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County, 6230 77th Street, Vero Beach, 32967.
SERVICES: Burial and out-of-town arrangements are by Henninger Funeral Home in Reading.
A Celebration of Life reception will be held Thursday, May 5, 2011, at The Club at Pointe West at 5 p.m.
