Irene Veronica King, 95, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026. She was born on April 14, 1931, in Manville, New Jersey, to Alexander Owsik and Veronica Rozanska Owsik. In 1954, she wed the late Thomas Anthony King, with whom she celebrated 53 years of marriage.

Irene spent much of her life in New Jersey, where she built a meaningful career and lasting community ties. She worked for many years as a buyer for Ortho Diagnostics, a Johnson & Johnson brand, retiring in 1993.

A woman of deep and abiding faith, Irene was a devoted member and longtime communicant of Mary, Mother of God Catholic Church in Hillsborough, New Jersey. After relocating to Florida in 2022, she continued her faith journey as a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Eileen Conroy and her husband, John, of New York, New York and Vero Beach, Florida; her granddaughter, Kerry Conroy and spouse Colleen Fay of New York, New York; and her grandson, Thomas Conroy and spouse Emily Prymula of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

She was predeceased by her sisters Helen, Stella, Mary, and Janina, and by her brothers John, Felix, Edward, Chester, Henry, and Bolek.

A memorial service at Mary, Mother of God Church and burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Manville, New Jersey, will take place at a date to be announced.
