Jack C. Henderson, 86, of Port Saint Lucie, FL died Thursday, August 6, 2009 at the Treasure Coast Hospice in Fort Pierce.
Mr. Henderson was born July 15, 1923 in Spartanburg, SC and moved to Port Saint Lucie nine years ago from Deltona, FL.
He served for 23 years in the U.S. Army and retired as a 1st Sergeant serving in both World War II and Vietnam. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Sanford, FL.
Prior to retirement he had been a Mechanic for Eastern Airlines in Miami, FL for 11 years.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Marguerite Henderson of Port Saint Lucie; daughter Martha Murdock of North Carolina; two sons Jack Henderson of Dallas, TX and James Henderson of Port Saint Lucie; sister Audrey Rowe of Spartanburg, SC; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services: Private military honors will be held at a later date.
