Jack J. VanDorple,88, passed away February 17, 2017 in Vero Beach, Florida.

Jack was born in Holland, MI to the late Lester and Jane VanDorple. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. Jack was a great athlete. He played basketball, baseball and football while in high school. He also played football and baseball for the United States Air Force. Jack enjoyed golf and was always health conscious and taking care of his physical being. He had a great sense of humor, was optimistic and had a great love of life. He truly loved his daughter from his first marriage.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Candace; daughter Dawn VanDorple; step-daughter Carmen Reed; step-son Richard Schultz Jr., and his grandchildren David Jr., Cassidy and Caidyn Reed.

A Gathering will be held at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home, Wednesday, February 22nd, 2017 from 3 to 4 PM with a Celebration of Life service at 4PM.

The family suggest donations be made in Jack's honor to VNA Hospice, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
