Jackie passed away peacefully Friday, May 9th, 2008, surrounded by the love of her family at the beautiful VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. Jackie was born in 1929 and raised in Ocean Springs, Mississippi by her late parents Ed and Lucile Voivedich. She grew up with her two brothers Junior and Charlie in Ocean Springs and graduated from Ocean Springs High School in 1947. Jackie graduated from Perkinston Junior College in 1948 in Perkinston, Mississippi and was president of her sorority Beta Sigma Phi, here in Vero Beach.
She married Thomas Durant Williams in Ocean Springs over 58 years ago. They had their first of four sons, Steven Joseph in Oxford, Mississippi. Their second son Timothy Durant was born in Biloxi, Mississippi. Keith Charles their third son, was born in the Indian River Memorial Hospital. And their fourth son Thomas Nicholas was born in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Jackie worked as a secretary while her husband Tom was attending Ole Miss, University of Mississippi. Jackie, Tom and their first two sons, Steve and Tim, moved to Vero Beach in 1954. After moving to Vero Beach, Jackie worked as secretary to Judge Mank in the Vero Beach Courthouse. Later Jackie worked as an Executive Secretary to the Indian River County School Board Finance Officer.
She was President of the ladies auxiliary of the Elks Lodge in Vero Beach know as the KLEs. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother and also a Red Cross Swimming Instructor for a while during which time she taught many infants in Vero Beach how to swim. Jackies true loves were playing poker with her friends and fishing on Lake Marion.
Jackie is survived by her husband of 58 plus years Thomas D. Williams; sons Steven J. of Vero Beach, Timothy D. and his wife Nina of Vero Beach, Keith C. of Vero Beach and Thomas N. of San Diego, California. Grandchildren Michelle and her husband Christopher Baynes of Chicago, Illinois; Tiffany Little of Whitefish, Montana; Thomas D. II and Michael C. of Vero Beach; Jason and his wife Erica of Vero Beach; Monique and her husband Scooter Clark of Vero Beach; Kelly Williams of Cleveland, Ohio; and K. C., Chelsea and Emily of Vero Beach. Great grandchildren Kyleigh and Myia of Whitefish, Montana; Jason, Jarred, Jake and Cienna of Vero Beach; Joshua of Vero Beach; and Jackson and Adelaide of Cleveland, Ohio.
Her family, her friends and those who knew her will always love and miss Jackie.

The family will receive friends 4-7 pm Thursday, May 15th, 2008 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach with a prayer service at 6:30 pm.
