James Gerard Anderson died peacefully on January 16, 2025 at the Vero Beach Care Center under VNA Hospice in Vero Beach, FL. He was born on May 2, 1946 in Boston, MA.

Jim honorably served in the United States Army and then went to work for New England Bell Telephone where he worked until  he retired.

Upon retirement, he relocated from Atkinson, N.H. to Vero Beach, FL. along with his wife, Jane Anderson, who passed away in 2016. They were married for more than 25 years and now they are reunited and together again.

Jim is survived by his brother, Robert Anderson, and his sister, Janice Embrey and his three (3) children - Brooke Sorensen, Dean Anderson, Erin Hett - and his step-son, Daniel Jenkins.

He also is survived by his five (5) grandchildren —Carly Rose Sorensen, James Sorensen, Devin Jenkins, Melody Vitti and Lacey Hett.

A gathering will be held at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home, Vero Beach, FL. from 8:30-9:30AM on Thursday February 6th and his life will be celebrated at a funeral mass at St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach, FL. immediately following on Thursday February 6th at 10AM.
