James L. DeRocco, 91, of Vero Beach, FL died Saturday, December 6, 2008 at the Laurel Pointe Health Center and Rehabilitation in Fort Pierce.
Mr. DeRocco was born April 9, 1917 in Gloversville, NY and moved to Vero Beach in 1987from Vernon, CT.
He was retired from Sears after 35 years service, holding several executive positions. He was a World War II army veteran and fought also in the Korean conflict. He was a member of the D.A.V. and Catholic War Veterans in Gloversville. He was also a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years Mary E DeRocco of Vero Beach, FL; son Louis J. DeRocco of Manchester, CT; two daughters Mary C. of Massachusetts and Connie Goochee of Pennsylvania; four stepchildren Tom Mesenbourg of Maryland, James Mesenbourg of Long Island, NY, Tim Mesenbourg of Connecticut and Mary Lambert of Vero Beach, FL.
Services: A memorial service will be held at a later date in Gloversville, NY.
