James E. Prescott, age 72, died Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Raulerson Hospital. Dink was born in Basinger and a lifetime resident of Okeechobee.
He enjoyed talking with friends and sharing stories about the good ole cowboy days.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Sue Moore; brothers, Boy and Billy; and sisters, Beatrice and DooBug.

Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Brenda; daughters, Jan (Jeff) Richards of Clinton, S.C., Dana Davis of Ft. Myers, DeLaine of Quitman, Ga.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; step-son, George Buddy Cotton of Sweetwater, Tenn.; step-daughters, Cerriea (Elvis) Mathews of Blackshear, Ga., Angel (Trent) Horton of Miss., Renee Cotton of Okeechobee; and brothers, Parker (Becky) Prescott and Glen, both of Okeechobee.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2011, at Buxton-Seawinds Funeral Home.
