James Footman, 82, of Vero Beach, FL died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mr. Footman was born October 10, 1927 in Camilla, GA and moved to Vero Beach over 60 years ago from Winter Haven, FL.
He had worked for Axel Peterson Packing House before his retirement.
Survivors include his seven sons Willie James Footman of Vero Beach, Leroy Footman of Vero Beach, Bennie Ray Footman of Vero Beach, Jerry Footman of Vero Beach, Nicholas Footman of Vero Beach, Thomas Footman of Mabelton, GA and George Footman of Raiford, FL; three daughters Shirley Williams of Vero Beach, Priscilla Footman of Georgia and Betty Footman of Vero Beach; two sisters Bernice Footman Johnson and Annie Jewel Footman both of Havana, FL; twenty-two grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; and his devoted friend Elizabeth Newsome.
He was predeceased by his parents Jamie and Annie Clarke Footman, son Norris Footman, sister Carrie Mae Footman, and four brothers Ira Lee Footman, Robert Footman, Woodrow Footman and Leroy Footman.
Services: A private family visitation was held.
