Obituary

Gehringer, James - 74 - Fort Pierce, Fla. passed away July 25, at home, in the loving arms of his wife and best friend Vivian, after a year long battle with cancer. Born and raised in Egg Harbor City, Jim graduated from St. Joseph's HS in Hammonton. Jim attended Trenton State College and joined the U.S. Marine Corp in 1961; serving until 1966. No one was prouder to be a marine than Jim. In 1976, he became an Egg Harbor Township Police Officer. Jim eventually retired to Florida, where he called home for the last 25 years.

What he loved most in life, was traveling around the country in his RV. He also loved spending six-months of every year visiting New Jersey, with his family and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, John and Johanna Gehringer; sister Joan (Jack) Woerner; brother John (Maureen) Gehringer; brother-in-law, Earl Weiler.

He is survived by three sons Darren, EHT; Jimmy (Vicki), EHT; Michael (Tracy), PA; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister Jackie (Jim) Carney; sister-in-law Ruby Breder; and many nieces and nephews.
