James "Doc" A. Jones, Sr.

James "Doc" A. Jones, Sr, 73, of Vero Beach died, Friday, December 16, 2011 at the Indian River Medical Center.

Mr. Jones was born January 12, 1938 in Greenville, FL to the late Annie Lou Alexander, and the late Proctor Jones. He had been a lifetime resident of Vero Beach.

Survivors include his son, James A. Jones, Jr of West Palm Beach; three daughters Cassandra Naine, Vanya Jones and Tracie Presley all of Vero Beach, FL; three grandchildren, Janequa Jones of West Palm Beach, Robyn Presley of Miami and Robert Presley Jr of Vero Beach; and one great grandson, Jonathan Paige of West Palm Beach; uncles, Gordon Bryant, Rubin Bryant and Owen Bryant all of Vero Beach; ex-wife & devoted friend, Mamie Jones of Vero Beach, also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.

Services: A visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Friday, December 23, 2011 at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. The service will follow on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at 11:00AM at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Crestlawn Cemetery.
