Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather

James P. Marner, a gentle soul whose life was defined by love, creativity, and quiet devotion to family and craft, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, at the age of 82.

Born on March 13, 1943, James was the beloved husband of Helen R. Marner, with whom he shared a lifetime of deep affection, partnership, and joy. He was a wonderful, caring, and thoughtful husband whose love was felt in every gesture, every word, and every moment spent together.

James was a proud father to John D. Marner, Patrick Vollmer, and Debbie Caldwell-Miller; a loving grandfather to Erika Marner and Hunter Caldwell; and a cherished great-grandfather to Jessica, Angel, Gabriella, and Ariana. His family was the center of his world, and he supported them with quiet strength, gentle humor, and unconditional love.

A man of many interests, James had a passion for technology and spent countless hours working on computers, always eager to learn and help others. He also found joy in embroidery, creating personalized gifts for friends and family, and crafting quilt labels for the beautiful quilts made by his wife—a quiet collaboration that reflected their deep bond.

James had a special love for clocks, collecting and caring for them with the same attention and reverence he gave to everything in his life. Each tick and chime was a reminder of his appreciation for craftsmanship and the passage of time.

He will be remembered for his warmth, his creativity, and his unwavering dedication to the people he loved. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

James is survived by his wife Helen, his children John, Patrick, and Debbie, his grandchildren Erika and Hunter, and his great-grandchildren Jessica, Angel, Gabriella, and Ariana.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Christ Church Vero Beach.
