James Arthur Merksamer, 67, of Lakewood Park, FL died Monday, February 9, 2009 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Mr. Merksamer was born February 26, 1941 in Beacon, NY and moved to Lakewood Park five years ago coming from Chelmsford, MA.
Prior to his retirement he was a Robotics Engineer for Digital Equipment in Boxboro, MA for twenty five years. He was a member of Lakewood Park United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Jeanette Merksamer of Fort Pierce, FL; sons James Merksamer of Halifax, MA; Jeff Merksamer of Arroyo Grande, CA; Gary Merksamer of Lowell, MA and Michael Merksamer of Fort Ruckers, AL; daughter Michelle Merksamer of Deerfield Beach, FL; brothers Gary Merksamer of Seekonk, MA and Danny Merksamer of Albany, NY; sisters Debbie Villiard of Manchester, NH and Carol Killeen of York Beach, Maine; and ten grandchildren.
Services: A memorial service will be held at 10:00AM, Friday 13, 2009 at Lakewood Park Methodist Church with Rev. Lin Osborne officiating.
