Terry Ruwe died peacefully in his sleep on August 26, 2012 at Hospice House. Born in Biloxi, MS, on January 14, 1951 to Norman and Gladys Ruwe, he grew up in Riverside, California and was a graduate of California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, CA. His sons Matt, Joe and Ben were born in California. He moved his family to Maine in 1979, earning his living as a lobsterman in summer, scallop diver in winter and as a jack-of-all-trades in the off-season. Terry and his wife of 11 years, Sarah, moved to Vero Beach in 2002. He was self-employed as a handyman, and also worked for Huryn Construction. Terry enjoyed golf, classic rock and riding his motorcycle with friends, truly living life to the fullest. Terry supported his wife as a volunteer at the American Red Cross when needed. He is survived by his wife, his three sons, two step-daughters, one step-son, nine grandchildren and his sister. He was preceded in death by both parents. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Red Cross, 2506 17th Ave, Vero Beach, 32960, or to a charity of one's choice.
