James Terry Jim Smith, 66, of Vero Beach, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Sebastian Regional Medical Center. He was born September 8, 1944 in Barney, AL, and moved to Vero Beach 50 years ago from Hollywood, FL. Jim was married for 38 years to Crickett Smith who passed away earlier the same day. He is survived by step-daughter Debbie Clifford of Sebastian, 1 grandchild, sisters Iris Maddox of Quinton, AL, Beverly Laird of Quinton, AL, Melissa Morford of Wilton Manors, FL, Starla Moore of Bessemer, AL, Frances Kennedy of Jacksonville Beach, FL, Glenda Patterson of Vero Beach, FL. He is predeceased by brothers Jerry, Frankie, and Ernie Smith.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Seawinds Funeral Home Chapel in Sebastian.
