James W. Young, Sr. 81, of Vero Beach, FL died Wednesday May 18, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Young was born December 13, 1929, in Clendenin, WVA. and was a resident of Vero Beach for 9 years, coming from his birthplace.
He was a graduate of Greenbrier Military School in Lewisburg, WVA and served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clendenin, WVA.
Mr. Young was the owner and operator of Youngs Brother Grocery Store in Clendenin, WVA.
His survivors include his one son James W. Young, Jr.; three daughters Mary Jane Mills; Beth Atamer; Amy Lore; all of Vero Beach, FL; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Billie Young, sister Helen Pelton and brother Bobbie Young.
Friends may call from 6-8:00 PM on Friday, May 20, 2011 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach, FL. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Garden in Fort Pierce, FL.
