James(Jim) Bernard Howard, 77 of Vero Beach, FL died Sunday, February 1, 2009 at his home in Vero Beach.
He was born September 15, 1931 in Tibbie, AL and was a resident of Vero Beach since 1961, coming from Jacksonville, FL.
Mr. Howard was a retired general contractor.
Survivors include his wife, Susie Howard of Vero Beach, FL; daughters, Frances Price of Vero Beach, FL, Nita Lindsey of Vero Beach, FL, Jeanette Kilpatrich of Vero Beach, FL; son, Anthony Howard of Baltimore, MD; step-sons, Brian Davis of Vero Beach, FL, Wesley Davis of Vero Beach, FL; step-daughter, Laura Paul of San Marcos, TX; 22 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Howard.

Friends may call from 6-8:00 PM, Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Seawinds Funeral Home Chapel in Sebastian, FL. Service will be held at 5:00 PM, Friday, February 6, 2009 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Arlington Park Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL.
