In Loving Memory of Janet Elaine Ulrich Gilbert (1934-2025)

Janet Elaine Ulrich Gilbert, aged 90, of Vero Beach, FL, passed away peacefully at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL on February 22, 2025. Born in Erie, PA, to Grace Elizabeth (Betty) and Edward Ulrich, Janet graduated from Academy High School in Erie and pursued various college courses throughout her career. She worked for three major airlines and later retired from the Job Training/One Stop Career Centers in Vero Beach. Janet was a devoted member of the First Methodist Church in Vero Beach.

Janet is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, James C. Gilbert, and her loving sons, Michael E. Gilbert of Rockledge, FL, and James Jeffery "Jeff" Gilbert, his wife Fawn, and their son Aaron of Vero Beach, FL. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Grace Elizabeth Ulrich and Edward G. Ulrich, and her sisters, Patricia (Robert) Hausmann and Ruth (Edward) Rado.

A memorial service will begin at 10 AM, Friday, February 28 at The First Methodist Church in Vero Beach, FL.  Inurnment will take place at the First Methodist Church of Vero Beach Memorial Garden. Janet's warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family and community will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
