Jean M. Conway was a graduate of the North Shore Country Day School in Winnetka, Illinois. Afterwards she attended Briarcliff Junior College where she was President of the Freshman class and President of the Student Council.
She graduated with the Trustees Award for All Round Excellence.

After graduation she went to Northwesterns School of Speech, where she had principal roles in university theater productions including the student produced WAAMU show. She then appeared in Chicago's regional theaters Show Case, Shady Lane and Drury Lane appearing with Edward Everett Horton and Gene Lockhart among others. She then toured with Vivian Vance and John Emery as the ingnue in the Show "Here Today."

After moving to New York, she became a Teaching Director of Nancy Taylor Secretarial School and Director of Personnel at the Strang Cancer Prevention Clinic. She remained there until she married Chrysler Executive Carton C. Conway and moved to Birmingham, Michigan where they raised their daughter, Peggy.
While in Michigan she was the President of the Womens Association at her church and was active in Cass Corridor Youth Advocates.

When Mr. Conway retired they followed in the footsteps of her parents, the John McGregors and moved to Vero Beach in 1991. They belonged to the First Presbyterian Church, where Mrs. Conway served as a Deacon. They were also members of the Riomar Country Club and the Vero Beach Yacht Club.

She is survived by her daughter Peggy (Rick) her granddaughter Jessica and her Fiance James C. Northey.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, 11:00a.m., July 18, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church in Vero Beach, FL with Rev. Dr. G. Timothy Womack officiating. A reception will follow at the church.
