Jean M. Romano, 82, of Vero Beach died Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the Lynmoore at Lawnwood Assisted Living Facility in Fort Pierce.

Mrs. Romano was born February 15, 1930 in Bridgeport, CT. She had been a resident of Vero Beach since 1980, coming from Milford, CT.

Prior to her retirement she worked as an inspector for the Bic Pen Corporation in Milford for 25 years.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion in Vero Beach.

She was a Toll painting instructor in Vero Beach.

Survivors include her sons, Marty Romano and Alan Romano both of Vero Beach; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Romano and sons Nicholas Romano Jr. and Vincent Romano.

The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. with a service starting at 4 p.m. on Monday, August 13, 2012 at the Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory in Vero Beach.
