Jean Whitford Wood, nee Peterson, 90, of Vero Beach, FL, passed away December 28, 2013, at Grace Rehabilitation Center.
She was born July 27, 1923, in Jersey City, NJ, and had been a resident of Vero Beach since 1975, coming from Wayne, NJ, where she taught high school mathematics.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Whitford of Gainesville, FL, Pamela (Larry) Kinker of Warrington, PA, and Diane (Russ) Stenzel of Vero Beach, FL; sons, Douglas (Mary) Whitford of New Orleans, LA, and Gregory (Allison) Whitford of Gainesville, FL; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Harry Whitford in 1964 and David Wood in 2011 and her brother, Donald Peterson.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
