Jerrain O. VanTuyl, passed away January 3, 2015. He was born in Kankakee, Illinois. He attended Michigan State University and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Jerry began his retail career with J.L. Hudson Company in Detroit, Michigan. He retired from his career in 1987 with the closing of Goodnow Pearson Company in Gardner, Massachusetts.

While living in Massachusetts he was a Trustee of Forbush Memorial Library, a Trustee for twenty three years of Heywood Memorial Hospital, a Trustee for five years of Mount Wachusett Community College and a Rotarian. He was a member of Vero Beach Country Club.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Cynthia, and their three children, Julia Dower (Edward), Laura Arsenault (Charles), Robert (Erin) and nine grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister and a young grandson. Jerry's wish was that there be a simple memorial and committal service later in Westminster, Massachusetts.
