Jerry Grobbel, 84, of Vero Beach, FL died Thursday, November 20, 2008 at his home.
He was born November 18, 1925 in Detroit, MI and had lived in Vero beach for the past 25 years, having moved down to Florida 35 years ago from the Detroit, MI area where he was born.
Mr. Grobbel graduated from the University of Detroit, went on the build a successful advertising business in Detroit, and after moving to Florida in the mid '70s proceeded to build a substantial and very successful real estate business with his wife Dorothy Grobbel.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Grobbel of Deerfield Beach, FL; his seven children, James and Gary Grobbel of Rochester Hills, MI, Deborah Johnson of Sebastian FL, Cherie Grobbel of Downingtown, PA, Laurie Viola and Suzanne Grobbel of Deerfield Beach FL and Mark Grobbel of Bloomfield Hills, MI; and nine grandchildren.
Service: Mass will be celebrated 12 Noon, Tuesday November 25th at St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach, FL and 10 AM, Tuesday, November 25th at St Ambrose Catholic Church in Deerfield Beach, FL.
