Vero Beach
Louis "Louie" Barreda passed away on Monday February 18, 2019. Heaven gained an Angel that day as Louie joined the Lord.
Louie was born on March 10, 1928 to the late Isabella Tirado and Alfred Barreda. He attended art school in Indianapolis, Indiana where he fell in love with his wife of 58 years, Judith Barreda. Louie touched many people's lives with his contagious smile and energetic personality. He has been in the restaurant business all his life and is well-known as "Chef Louie" to many as he previously worked with his daughter at Mellisa's Bakery. Louie lived at Spanish Lakes Country Club and was truly loved by all who knew him. His passion was oil-painting, animals, and most of all, being around family and friends.
Louie is survived by his sister, Mercedes "Mitchie" Barreda Ford; wife, Judith Barreda; daughters, Suzanne Wilson of Knoxville, MD, Debbie (Karl) Mogensen of Natural Bridge, VA, and Mellisa (Tim) Toperzer of Sebastian, FL; sons, Marco (Kimberley) Barreda and Eric (Rachel) Barreda; and beloved grandchildren, Kimberley, Katie, and Randee.
A "Celebration of Life" at Spanish Lakes Country Club to be announced.
Louie will be remembered for his positive personality, wonderful smile, and especially his white sunglasses. He will be greatly missed by all his SLCC friends, family, and everyone that he encountered.
