Joan P. Llewellyn of Indian River Estates, Vero Beach, died September 8, 2013. She was born in Surrey, England in 1927 and moved to Long Island in 1947 with her late husband, Ronald. They lived in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Island from 1965 until 2002 when she moved to Vero Beach. Together with her husband they owned a charter boat in the Virgin Islands for many years, mainly operating out of St. John. In keeping with Joan's wishes, there will not be a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Humane Society of Vero Beach, the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research or the American Red Cross.
