Joan H. Wolfe, 86, passed away June 24, 2009. Joan was a resident of Vero Beach, FL for 35 years coming from Marietta, GA where she lived for a number of years. Mrs. Wolfe was born in Knoxville, TN where she was raised in the Episcopal faith. Bridge was her favorite pastime with her dear friends who had played for many years. Joan was a mentor, pink lady, and worked at the voting polls. She enjoyed the mountains of Tennessee, Georgia, and Carolinas. She is survived by her husband of sixty years R. D. Wolfe, son Kirk H. Wolfe of North Carolina, daughter-in-law Sherri and her husband Gene Whitaker of Jacksonville, FL, five grandchildren, five great-grand sons, cousin Ban Stanfiel of Ashville, NC and Rosemary Thresher of Jacksonville, FL, and god children Joanie and Scott Thrasher. A life celebration service for Joan will be offered at 2 PM, Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the Lakes at Pointe West in Vero Beach.
