Joan A. Wrightington, 83, of Vero Beach died Sunday, July 15, 2012 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.

Mrs. Wrightington was born March 2, 1929 in Harrisburg, PA. She had been a resident of Vero Beach for 20 years, coming from New Jersey.

She worked in food services, and later as an office manager for a condominium community.

She was a member of the American Society of Notaries. She was a member of the Vero Beach Women's Bowling Association, and later was a team sponsor.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Warren C. Wrightington; daughter Deborah Wilson of Cocoa, FL; son William Avery of Worcester, MA; step-daughter Cindy Davis of Newport, NH; sister Bonnie Myers of Enola, PA; brothers Ronald Kugler of Mercersburg, PA, Jerry Kugler of Wormleysburg, PA, and Drew Kugler of Enola, PA; granddaughter Candice Zuhlke of Cocoa, FL and great granddaughter Hannah Zuhlke.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Arlean Collins; brother Jerome Kugler; and step-son Stephen Wrightington.

Services: A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 20, 2012 at the Clearlake First Baptist Church 1640 Minnie Street, Cocoa, FL 32922.

Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice House at 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
