Joanne Cuneo Monroe, 76, of Vero Beach, FL died Thursday, June 18, 2009 at the Somerset House in Vero Beach.
Mrs. Monroe was born September 25, 1932 in Omaha, NE and moved to Vero Beach 19 years ago from Greenwich, CT.
She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach, the Grand Harbour Country Club and the Book Club at Grand Harbour, and she was a member of the Republican Women of Indian River.
Survivors include her husband of ten years, Stewart Monroe of Vero Beach; sons Paul Cuneo of Yankton, SD, and David Cuneo of Albuquerque, NM; daughters Genevieve Davis of Vero Beach, FL, and Laura Linn of Ponte Verda Beach, FL; brothers Charles Juergens of Costa Mesa, CA and James Juergens of Larchmont, NY; sister Jeanette Schaffer of Eastchester, NY; and eight grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her first husband Albert Cuneo, Jr. and her son Albert Cuneo, III.
Services: The family will receive friends 5-8 PM, Monday, June 22, 2009 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held celebrated at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach. Interment will be Monday, June 29, 2009 at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.
