John B. "Jack" Fischer, 97, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away on July 7, 2023 at his home.

Born in West Palm Beach, Florida, on March 5, 1926, he was the son of the late Michael and Theresa (Hilliard) Fischer.

Jack was a retired Chevron executive and pilot with a passion for flying and making money in the stock market.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served aboard the USS Cowpens.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley; his siblings, Francis, Michael, Donald, Ralph, and Patricia; and his niece, Theresa Siegrist.

Jack is survived by his nephews, Ed (Beth) Lehman, Mike (Karen) Fischer, Patrick (Fran) Fischer, Ben (Annie) Fischer, Tim (Bob) Fischer, Jeff (Julie) Fischer, Eddie Fischer, Steve (Carol) Fischer; and nieces, Lorraine (John) Maestri, Suzanne (Butch) Burkett, and Donna (Dick) Johnson.  He is also survived by several great and great-great nieces and nephews, as well as his friend, Gina Edwards.

Per Jack's request, there will be no services.  Those who wish to honor his memory may make a donation in his name to St. Ann Catholic School - Open Door Scholarships, 324 N. Olive Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida, 33401.
