John "Jack" Elkins Banks, 87, of Vero Beach, Fl, passed away September 29, 2015, at VNA Hospice of Vero Beach, FL. Jack is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marie Banks of Vero Beach, FL; son, John E. Banks, Jr of Vero Beach, FL and a daughter, Jill (Cliff) Higgins of Macon, GA; granddaughter, Lauren Higgins of Athens, GA.

Jack was born in Trenton, NJ on June 10, 1928 and attended Peddie School Hightstown, NJ and Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA where he studied engineering. He was employed by Roebling Company as a sales engineer. He relocated to Vero Beach in 1960 and became involved in the citrus industry, owning and operating his own business.

Jack was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Service will be private.
