John Ernest Bellosi, 80, of Vero Beach died Saturday, October 20, 2018. John was born to the late Amerigo and Ernestine Bellosi on December 19, 1937 in Washington, D.C. and started working at an early age, had one employer, and started his own business in 1965, J & J Iron Works, Inc., in Clinton, Maryland. John was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church. He enjoyed an active life surrounded by his family and friends and going to favorite restaurants in the Vero Beach area. John also enjoyed thoroughbred horse racing, casinos and betting on football, especially the Washington Redskins.

John had a passion for Italian food and cooking for his family and friends, loved having company and enjoyed a good Super Bowl party. Loving husband of 33 years to Susan (Leaberry) Bellosi; proud father of, Ernestine Huff (Richard) of Vero Beach, Lisa Bellosi (Thomas Bunn) of Annapolis, MD, John Bellosi Jr, of Sunderland, MD, Cynthia Ashby of Vero Beach, James Bellosi of Clinton, MD and Anthony Bellosi of Clinton, MD. Survivors also include 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, his brother, Joseph Bellosi (Jean), his sister, Rose Owens (Robert) of Fern Park, FL and sister-in-law Linda Bellosi of Dunkirk, MD. John leaves behind many nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

John was predeceased in death by daughters, Ashley Bellosi and Sharon Hostetler-Bellosi, his grandsons, Anthony Bellosi, John Bellosi III, and his granddaughters Gabrielle Bellosi, Brittney Ritenhour, his sister, Cecelia Marshall, and his brother, Marco Bellosi. John will return to Maryland to be laid at rest.

John and his family thank the VNA Hospice House of Vero Beach for all the compassion and care shown during his struggle and death from Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.
