Obituary

John Taylor Terry Brune, 70, of Vero Beach, FL died Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Brune was born April 8, 1940 in New York, NY. He was a resident of Vero Beach since 2007, coming from Irvington, VA. He was raised in Lake Placid, NY and spent his working career on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. An outdoorsman and conservationist, Brune was an avid fisherman and hunter and traveled extensively to exotic locals such as the upper Amazon, Antarctica and Africa. He was equally passionate about World War II memorabilia, automobiles and firearms.
He was a member of the New York Stock Exchange, the Sons of the American
Revolution, The Moorings Club of Vero Beach, the Union Club in NYC, the North Woods Club and the Lake Placid Club. A graduate of Hobart College (Geneva, NY,), he held a number of leadership roles during his undergraduate years including the Air force ROTC program. He was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include his sons, William H. N Brune II of Georgetown, ME, and Timothy H. C. Brune of Victor, ID; daughters, Constance B. Trachte of Rupert , VT, and Tilney W. Brune of Charlottesville VA; and four grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William H. N. Brune & Josephine Terry Brune.
