John W. Flubacher, 84, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2015 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Shirley Sager Flubacher, and his parents John & Louise. He is survived by three daughters, Linda (Rick) Guy, Carol ( George) Knight and Cindy Flubacher; 5 grandchildren; 11 great children; two brothers, Ronald (Barbara) Flubacher and Fritz Flubacher. He also leaves his special companion, Cuddles.

A long time resident of Holland Patent, NY, he and his late wife, Shirley, enjoyed wintering in FL for many years and valued the wonderful friendships they formed there. Prior to his retirement John was a longtime employee of General Electric in Schenectady, NY and Utica, NY. In his younger days he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and gardening. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed being a prankster.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Holland Patent, NY on Saturday, January, 16, 2016 at 10:00am.
