John Frederick August, 85, died Thursday, July 19, 2012 at VNA Hospice House.
Mr. August was born July 22, 1926 in Patterson, NJ. He has been a resident of Vero Beach since 1970, coming from New Jersey.
He served in the United States Navy during WWII.
Prior to retirement he was a life time master carpenter. He was a member of the Vero Beach Yatch Club and the American-Italian Club.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years Beverly August of Vero Beach, FL; two daughters Pam August of Vero Beach, FL, Susan August of San Francisco, CA; four step-daughters Barbara Summerlin of Vero Beach, FL, Linda Montgomery of Ft. Pierce, FL, Colleen Zicari of Vero Beach, FL, Sharon Wells of Vero Beach, FL; sister Jane Rosamilia of New York, NY; brother Theodore De'Augustinis; seven grandchildren and four great-granddaughters.
