John Aloysius Greiner, 81, of Vero Beach, FL passed away Monday November 17, 2014 at Indian River Medical Center.

He was born September 16, 1933 in Hart, Michigan and had been a resident of Vero Beach since 2000, coming from Virginia.

John graduated from Hart High School and later enlisted in the United States Army.

Mr. Greiner was a member and active volunteer of St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach. John found great joy in dancing following the passing of his wife in 2009. He would dance at the Elks Lodge and Irish American Club in Vero Beach.

He is survived by his brothers, Robert (Marilyn) Greiner of Ludington, MI, James (Marianne) Greiner of Davison, MI; sister, Carol (James) Velthoven of White Lake, MI and six nieces and nephews. Mr. Greiner was predeceased by his wife, Jean Ralph Greiner; brothers, Donald (Nancy) Greiner and sister, Joan Greiner.

A Mass will be held 12 noon, Friday, November 21, 2014 at St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach, FL.
