John "Johnny G." Guertin, 49, of Vero Beach passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at his home. John was born April 9, 1964 in Woonsocket, RI. He had been a resident of Vero Beach for 45 years, coming from Blackstone, MA. He served in the United States Air Force. John worked as an HVAC technician for 15 years.

Johnny was a practical joker, and never wanted to spend time dwelling on the negative sides of life. He liked to have a good time, and loved the Green Bay Packers.

Survivors include his parents, Edward & Doris Guertin of Vero Beach; sister, Michelle Goodwyn (husband-Bruce) of Vero Beach and brother, David Guertin of Vero Beach; nephews, Trae and Blake Goodwyn. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Marie Lewis.

A gathering or "party" will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach from 1-2 PM, with a Catholic prayer service beginning at 2 PM. Inurnment will be held at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth at a later date.
