John A. Holt
Age 92 of Vero Beach, FL passed away at Indian River Medical Center on December 28, 2012.
John was born in Huntington, West Virginia. He graduated from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, and also from southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. John served proudly in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant and was Commanding Officer of a small ship for 2 years in the South Pacific.
Over the years and throughout his career as an American Baptist Pastor he served the Lord in West Virginia, Washington D. C., Maryland, and New Jersey. John is a published author "The Seven Words", "Sermons for Special Sundays" and Dialogue at Calvary". He also worked with the Literary Council for 12 years.
John leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 64 years Ann Holt of Vero Beach.
A memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 31, 2012 at Indian River Estates East.
