John (Jack) Kevin Williams, born April 18, 1927, beloved husband of fifty-nine years of Mildred Selzer Williams, passed away, at home, on May 9th.
Jack graduated from St. Benedicts Preparatory School in N.J., and served in the United States Navy during WWII. After the war, Jack attended the University of Delaware for two years and transferred to Seton Hall University where he graduated with honors. Upon graduating, he was accepted into an Otis Elevator training program, Division of United Technologies, his life long career. Jack served in both the Domestic and International Division, working in South America for sixteen years.
Jack was an avid boatman, golfer and tennis player. He belonged to Vero Beach County Club and Sea Oaks Tennis Club.
He was predeceased by a son, Mark and leaves his sons, John, Timothy, Kevin (Kathleen), Christopher (Alyssa) of FL, Gregory (Andrea) of N.C., and a daughter, Patricia D'Avino (Antony) of OH. Jack cherished his grandchildren, Paige and Courtney D'Avino of OH, Meghan and Erin Williams, Mary Catherine and John Christopher Williams, Quinn Williams of FL and Ashton Williams of N.C.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 1 PM at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 500 Iris Ln, Vero Beach, FL 32963. Online condolences may be shared at www.coxgiffordseawinds.com.
