John Peter Kichline, 92, of Vero Beach, FL passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at Indian River Estates Medical Center. John was born August 12, 1915 in Allentown, PA and was the son of William and Carrie (nee Wentz) Kichline.
He graduated from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a law degree. Mr. Kichline worked for Germantown Savings Bank in Philadelphia, PA prior to his retirement. He was a veteran of WW II, serving as a Captain in the US Army Medical Corps, and a Bronze Star recipient. John was a past president of the Philadelphia Mortgage Bankers Association.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years Jane Thiry Kichline of Vero Beach; son Peter Kichline of Miami, FL; granddaughters Cheryl Smith and Tonya George both of Merritt Island, FL and great-granddaughters Ashley Smith and Tara Smith both of Merritt Island, FL.
He was predeceased by his first wife Miriam (Diener) Kichline, daughter Jacqueline George, a brother William Kichline and a sister Helen Clerk.
A memorial celebration will take place 11 AM, Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Indian River Estates in Vero Beach.
