John Knoeppel's Obituary
John Knoeppel, 75, of Vero Beach died Friday, July 13, 2012 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mr. Knoeppel was born February 14, 1937 in New York, NY. He had been a resident of Vero Beach for 15 years, coming from New York.
He served in the United States Marine Corps.
Prior to his retirement he worked as a police officer in New York for 21 years.
He was a member of the American Legion, Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Veterans Club.
Survivors include his significant other of 24 years Joan Knoeppel Klein; sons David Knoeppel of Valley Springs, CA and Derrick Knoeppel of Mahopac, NY; daughter Dawn Kiernan of Mahopac, NY; sister Patricia Schaefer of Yonkers, NY; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his son Kurt Knoeppel.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Veteran's Victory Center at 6200 20th Street, Suite 160, Vero Beach, FL 32966.
No services are planned at this time.
