John S. Margetis, 73, of Fort Pierce, FL died Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Laurel Point Health and Rehabilitation Center in Ft. Pierce.
Mr. Margetis was born August 1, 1936 in Sikinos, Greece and moved to Fort Pierce in 1963 coming from his birth place.
He worked for Edwin C. Link as a diver and cook on the underwater research vessel Sea Diver for 26 years, retiring in 1984.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years Anna Margetis; sons, Nicholas J. Margetis and wife, Jacqueline of Saint Petersburg, FL, Speros L. Margetis and wife Kristin of Tampa, FL, Harry M. Margetis and wife Sabrina of Tampa, FL; brother Demetrios Margetis of Athens Greece; and a sister Katerina Margetis of Athens, Greece. There are seven grandchildren.
Services: A funeral service will take place at 12 Noon, Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach.
