John C. McDade, 77, of Vero Beach, died on Friday, September 7, 2012 at the Indian River Medical Center.

Mr. McDade was born September 13, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY. He had been a resident of Vero Beach for 4 years coming from Austin, TX.

Prior to his retirement, he worked as an engineer and for 10 years worked on engineering projects for Princeton University.

Survivors include his daughters, Donna Tomredle and Mary McDade-Bush, both of Vero Beach, and son, John McDade, Jr. of Brick, NJ, brothers George McDade of Rochester, NY and Eddie McDade of Tobihana, PA and 3 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jim McDade.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. with a memorial service starting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory in Vero Beach.
