John J. McHugh, 90, of Spanish Lakes Country Club, Fort Pierce, FL died Monday, December 29, 2008 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
He was born October 12, 1918 in Fort Totten, NY and moved to Fort Pierce in 1985 from Warwick, RI.
Prior to his retirement he had worked for the New York Telephone Company. He was veteran of WW II serving in the US Army and of the Roman Catholic faith.
Survivors include his wife Barbara J. McHugh of Fort Pierce, FL; three daughters Janis Greis of Huntersville, NC, Valerie Stazak of Ocala, FL and Gail Gallo of Boca Raton, FL; three step-daughters Rebecca Gallo of Bellview, MI, Deborah Dorawa of Sebastian, FL and Laura Stewart of Garden City, MI; step-son David Jenks of Vero Beach, FL; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brothers Edward and Thomas McHugh..
